With an initial gift of $3 million and a challenge to raise $4 million, the dream began to inspire others to make the Community Foundation of West Georgia a reality. This dream was achieved in a very short period of time.
The initial mission of the Foundation is still the guiding principal, to enhance the quality of life for the people of the West Georgia area. Because of the generosity of people from all walks of life, the Foundation continues to fulfill its mission in a myriad of ways.
