Alice Huffard Richards Arts Enrichment for Children Grant Application

2010 Grant Application

Purpose:  To provide funds for public school music, art and drama programs located in Carroll, Haralson and Heard counties.

Eligibility:  State certified music, art and drama teachers in a public school located in Carroll, Haralson or Heard counties for grades Pre K through 12.  Funds may be used to purchase supplies, supplemental teachings material, or secure the services of an outside artist.  Funds may not be used to purchase band uniforms.  Projects can be funded up to a maximum of $1,000 or can be partially funded.

Final Report:  If a grant is awarded, the funds must be used within 18 months of award date.  The applicant will submit a final report.  Applicant grants the Foundation the right to use their name, photo and information about the grant in publicity.

Deadline:  All applications must be completed and received by the Foundation by February 24, 2010.

• Grants are for classroom use, not professional development.
• All grant recipients are required to submit a final report on the outcome of the grant project.
• Grants are for up to $1,000 and must be used within 18 months of the award.
• Grants will be awarded to certified teachers teaching at a public school in Carroll, Haralson or Heard county.
• Successful grants will demonstrate innovative, creative learning experiences for students, clearly defined goals and objectives, and provides experiences that involve students otherwise unavailable.

Applicant Agreement
I am a teacher in a public school in Carroll, Haralson or Heard county. I have full support from my principal for this project and its implementation at my school. I will use this grant, if awarded, for students in grades Pre K through 12. I agree, if I am awarded, to submit a final report about the grant's outcome. I also agree that my name, photo and information about the grant may be used in publications by the Community Foundation of West Georgia without compensation to me.
