Who benefits from the Community Foundation?

The entire community benefits from the Foundation as it increases the total pool of philanthropic resources available for charitable activity in the West Georgia region.  The Foundation strengthens the self-sufficiency of the nonprofit sector and serves as a resource and a catalyst for charitable activities and organizations.

Local organizations in Carroll, Haralson and Heard counties apply for grants to support programs that serve the community in one of six areas:  education, human services, environmental improvement, medical and hospice care, art and cultural activities, and economic development.  All donations are designated for use in the local community.
