Community Impact Grant Funding Priorities & Criteria Proposals will be considered that address one or more of the following focus areas of the Community Foundation of West Georgia. Priorities are not listed in order of importance:
Education
Human Services
Environmental Improvement
Medical & Hospice Care
Art & Cultural Activities
Economic Development
Rather than commit to a specific amount of funding in a particular program area, the Community Foundation of West Georgia will select the strongest proposals to achieve a diverse mix of issues and populations served.
In addition to the geographic priority stated in the eligibility requirements above, the Community Foundation of West Georgia will make investments in programs and projects that:
Address a significant need affecting a broad segment of the region’s population or special populations considered at risk.
Demonstrate organizational expertise in delivering quality services.
Document capacity to mobilize resources including financial support, in-kind support and volunteers to sustain programs.
Have established sound management and administration, including a clearly defined and effective governance structure and financial systems.
Provide evidence of careful planning to address community needs and access community resources.
Include innovative strategies that offer creative solutions without duplicating other efforts.
Document efforts to achieve broad-based financial and volunteer support.
