
Meet Julie Coppinger, CPA
Julie Coppinger serves as Director of Operations, overseeing the financial management and day-to-day operations of the Community Foundation of West Georgia. Her work spans financial oversight, software design and management, staff training, and collaboration with nonprofit partners. She also plays a key role in the development and implementation of The Connector, an online system that links individuals in need with available community resources.
Julie brings more than three decades of experience in accounting and software solutions for global corporations. Over the past 15 years, she has also built and led sales forces and strategic teams, developing expertise in scalable growth. She is passionate about applying this knowledge within the nonprofit sector to strengthen systems and expand impact across the community.
She values the Foundation’s supportive, mission-driven environment and is continually inspired by the stories behind the work. From the individuals and families who receive support, to the growing capacity to serve across economic backgrounds, to the enthusiasm of fund advisors giving to causes they care about, Julie finds motivation in the tangible impact happening every day.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys gardening, reading, traveling, hiking, and volunteering locally. Above all, her favorite role is being a grandmother.
