Meet Kim Jones

Kim B. Jones has served as the first President of the Community Foundation of West Georgia which began operations in 2003. In this capacity she is responsible for the operation, growth, and development of the Foundation. During her tenure, the foundation has grown to over $100 million in assets and granted over $112 million. She has worked on multiple initiatives to address identified area needs, often in partnership with other nonprofits; faith-based groups, the business community, and local educational institutions. She has developed multiple grant programs including the Community Impact Grant program utilized by the foundation to distribute over $5.4 in grants.

 

Prior to the foundation, Kim has worked in the public sector as County Clerk, Carroll County Board of Commissioners, City Manager of Bremen, Georgia, and Associate Director Lee-Russell Council of Governments. She earned her BS and Master's Degrees in Public Administration from Auburn University.

In November of 2023, Kim was awarded a Legacy Award by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce for her unwavering dedication, visionary leadership, and tireless commitment to our community. In her spare time, Kim enjoys reading and traveling, all things Auburn Tigers and spending time with her family.
